How To Live A Passionate Life

The first step in finding happiness is to figure out what makes us feel good. We all have different ideas of what that means, but there are some universal truths. For example, people who are passionate about something tend to be happier than others.

Find Out What Makes You Happy.

Once you know what makes you happy, you need to make sure you do those things more often! There are lots of ways to find out what makes you happy. One of the easiest ways is to ask yourself questions. Ask yourself “What am I really passionate about?” “What would I love to spend my life doing?” “If money were no object, what would I do with my life?”

One of the biggest ways to find what makes you happy, and what would make you even happier, is to pay attention to your mindset.

How does your mindset impact your day/life?

Where is your focus?

If it cripples, depresses, or angers you now, it doesn’t always have to.

How do you care for your mindset?

Do you give it positive delicacies or negative fodder?

Just like real food, the diet you live by determines how you feel and what your capabilities are.

There will be potholes in the road on this journey. One might even blow out your tire and leave you stuck for a bit. But when you know there is a high possibility for an obstacle, you see it for what it is.

It does not spiral you into feeling like your life is so tragic.

As I have recommended many times, meditate, evaluate your friends/people you spend time with, love yourself, and take a few minutes each day (at the start or end of the day) to list 3-5 things you are grateful for…warm coffee makes my list almost as much as my warm bed!

I honestly am grateful for my bed. Seems odd but I’ve had some lumpy bumpy mattresses in my life and now own a pillowtop mattress with the egg-crate cooling gel topper….it’s a wonder I ever get out of it!

Gratitude/motivational alarms can be set on your phone/calendar app. This is a tip I got from Gabby B. It makes me smile when I randomly get the message to “Expect Miracles.”

When your mind starts doing donuts on the neural path of ice you unexpectedly found yourself on, just breathe!

Count your breath in increments of 4 or say “in/out” as you slowly breathe. This calms your mind and your body allowing you to get back in alignment. Then you know if that is a situation you want to remove from your life.

You have more information than you can imagine just waiting to be discovered. The more you pay attention to it the more you can start to align yourself to be your happiest, most passionate self.
